We are looking for an experienced Technician with a background in molecular biology and cell culture who has extensive experience in various techniques such as (q)PCR including DNA and RNA isolation, ELISA, cell based assays (e.g. potency assays), SDS-PAGE and Western Blot for our Assay department in Leiden, The Netherlands. Experience with working in a QC/GMP environment and with HPLC and UPLC analysis is preferred but not required.
Within the Assay department biochemical and analytical assays are performed on purified and in process biopharmaceutical samples (e.g. vaccines, viruses, antibodies and therapeutic proteins) for product release, stability-, formulation- and degradation studies and in process sample monitoring.
Assay development and analysis for these purposes can take place in research, development and/or QC (GMP) settings.
As a Technician you will be responsible for development and qualification of assays, writing protocols but also conducting routine sample analysis when necessary.

We are looking for a Technician for our R&D Department Downstream processing. As a Technician you will be responsible for practical realization of the research (experiments and tests), reporting the results of experiments in lab notebooks and the evaluation of results. You will have development background and/or skills. You also will responsible for writing SOP’s, protocols and reports.

In this position you will report to the (sr.) scientist.
Knowledge and hands on experience of chromatography and ultrafiltration/diafiltration is a must, knowledge of programming in Unicorn 5 is preferred.
GMP experience and or tech transfer skills are preferred, but not necessary. A development way of thinking and acting is a must as is flexibility.
